About Laine
Dr. Laine D'Augustine is the founder of Vectors & Vitals, a platform created to connect with the science communication and education communities and to make complex ideas accessible, engaging, and human.
Her academic background bridges engineering, medicine, and business. She holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering, an MS in Mechanical Engineering, an MS in Medical Science, an Executive MBA, and a Doctorate in Medical Science. She leads a team developing airspace integration and system safety of drones, is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and serves as an adjunct professor of medical science.
Beyond her formal credentials, Laine proudly embraces her inner nerd. She enjoys riding bikes, playing bass guitar, listening to punk rock, petting cats, reading books, and enthusiastically dissecting the science behind science fiction.
